Cashmere cropped sweater-tank

Now that I've got one, I can see why this piece sold out so quickly these months! It's warm, soft, comfortable, and perfect for transitioning from a cool winter day with a heavy coat and/or cardigan, to a warm, well-heated indoor restaurant or home. Easy to dress up or down, I love this. Note: others advised that this item ran small, and if I wanted a better fit, I should size up. I did just that: I usually get a Medium, but I ordered a Large and it was a perfect fit.

Pros: soft, comfy Cons: so not worth $80. I’m 5’11” 140 slim and small fits but it is so cropped on me. It looks like a bra. I’m returning.

I'm so confused by this tank - it's honestly basically a bra. I ordered my usual size - XL (I have a larger bust) and can't understand why JCrew would think that larger sized women need more width and no extra length on a piece. For a brand that's bragged about their size inclusivity, they continuously miss the mark when it comes to sizing up their patterns.

I liked the idea of this top. Unfortunately in my regular size it fit me more like a bra than a cropped tank? I never considered myself big chested (34C) or to have a long torso. I found the item unpractical for the cost and how it fit. I was happy to return it. Not sure if going up a size would have helped me gain more length in the tank? Also, it was not too itchy.

Ever since I saw this tank on one of the models a few months back I’ve been waiting for it to become available for purchase. When the tank finally showed up, I purchased two, one in black and one in the heather gray. They are just beautiful. The fabric is a thicker cashmere weave and the fit is perfect. I am small-busted so I ordered size XS. I’m looking forward to wearing these a lot in lieu of a bra, but also as a sweater vest. They are quite supportive and the way the straps are, you can wear a bra underneath for additional support. The layering possibilities are endless. I’m currently wearing my gray one over a thin white t-shirt right now. I plan on trying the black one over a white button down very soon. Love, love, love this tank!

I saw this in the photo with the wrap skirt and was obsessed, but when it arrived I was very disappointed. I'm skinny but busty and this was so cropped and low cut that it looked like a bra, not a crop top like it does in all the photos. This would probably be cute if you have a small chest but if you have larger than like a D cup it just looks weird. An extra inch or 2 of length would make it perfect, but I will be sending back :(
