crisp seersucker, a puckered warm-weather fabric, in a gingham pattern we found on one of our vintage catalog covers. Fun fact: Seersucker takes its name from the Persian phrase shir-o-shakar ("milk and sugar"), which describes its alternating smooth and textured stripes.
