Beautiful, but embroidery unraveling!
April 24, 2026I bought this dress last fall, and the fit and fabric are beautiful. However, now that I have worn it twice (still not washed), the thread knot detailing in the smocked bodice is unraveling. I will try to salvage it by re-knotting all the threads because I do love the dress and will be a pity to be unable to wear, but will be time consuming and hoping it lasts after I do.

Cute but details falling out
March 22, 2026So cute but the red thread detailing comes out. If you buy this I suggest you tie off each red detail on the inside before wearing.

February 20, 2026Not for me. I returned this almost immediately after I bought it online. It wasn't the dress per se -more like the dress on my body was not flattering at all. Would be cute on younger, slimmer bodies.

December 18, 2025I love this smocked style so much. It is out of my size, I bought a biger size and my mom made it smaller. Someone said it is “Poor craftsmanship“ but my dress is high craftsmanship.

Ivory with black smocking
October 18, 2025I love these smocked dresses! It looks so flattering on my body. I have bought almost all of the JCrew smocked dresses because I just love the feel and quality of. They wash well gentle and hang dry. It does run a little large so I went down to a M. It is a great length I’m 5’7”. You can dress it up with booties or down with. sneakers. I wear a FP cotton ruffle below elbow shirt with it or a cropped sweater. It looks great!!!
