Not flattering
December 6, 2025The puffed shoulder is more significant in person than I expected based on the photos. I have a larger chest and straight hips. It made my shoulders look very wide and created an unbalanced look. If you are wider in your hips and want some width to your shoulders for balance be, it could work. I also felt that the material looked cheap.

Gorgeous color and some issues
November 26, 2025I gave it 2 stars because the fabric feels nice and the color is gorgeous. Unfortunately the dress I received has a flaw in the shoulder area- one shoulder has more gathers than the other, which gives me a lopsided appearance. It’s hard to feel elegant when one shoulder looks higher than the other. As well, my usual size medium is at least one size too big, I could have comfortably got a small. I purchased this on final sale but I am extremely disappointed in it. I emailed JCrew about the flaw but never heard back. I’m including pictures below.

Color is gorgeous
November 12, 2025Great color, lightweight and pretty fabric (looks and feels like silk charmeuse). Medium size is plenty loose and flowy, and I usually wear between a 10 and 12 or so. The only thing I don't love is the sleeves are puffier than I realized at the shoulder. Just a personal preference.
