Larger Bust and Plus Size Beware
June 18, 2026I have MANY lovely purchases from J Crew over the years, most of which fit perfectly. But an unfortunate but now common theme I have encountered is if you are plus size, the dresses with defined busts do not increase in size or only do marginally. This dress was the one I was looking forward to the most and the catalyst for my order; when received, it was SWIMMING in beautiful fabric and none of it had gone to the bust. It was clearly for someone that was a B cup, if I'm being generous, but it was a complete let down. I felt as though I had been sent an irregular product and just ate the cost as it was final sale. Until I just purchased another dress, which looked generous in the bust online, and had the same issue although perfect in the body. I will now need to spend more money to visit a seamstress to have both busts altered, and this one in particular completely redone as I do not waste quality fabric. If you are a cup size F+, stick with the dresses that have no defined bustline and you will be satisfied, anything else will result in a disappointment in your investment and money out of your pocket.

Cute red dress
January 29, 2026I bought this in store and it is great. Usually I am between a 2 and 4 and the 4 fit great. There was no 2 available so that may have fit as well. The tie in the back makes it fairly adjustable. I am 5 ft 5 and 130 lb.

Love this dress

Pretty but slightly impractical
January 14, 2026The dress is a beautiful shade of red and is a lovely design on the hanger. For a smaller chest it is very loose up top- and i don't think its a sizing issue because its the way the fabric is draped. It is also very see through as many have stated before me. Would either have to wear something under it or use it as a beach cover up.

It’s a nice dress
January 9, 2026You need to have a flattering figure to wear this dress. It gives up the curves easily. Overall I like wearing it but first the fabric feels very polyester and is slightly transparent.
