Going-places dress in tweed

I ordered this dress in a 2 even though I typically wear a 2P or 0 regular. I had recently purchased a matelasse dress from J.Crew and a 2 regular fit perfectly including the length, so I based my choice in sizing on that in going with a regular size instead of petite. The dress was HUGE! Since I got in on final sale, I couldn't return it, so I got it tailored to fit me. The tailor did an excellent job getting the dress to fit and shortening it since it was really really long. I love that the dress has pockets and the tailor was able to preserve that as well. The material is thick as the other commenter noted, but that's what I expect for something being made of tweed.

I was really excited to get this dress. When it arrived, I was really disappointed. The quality is not good, sizing and proportions are really off on this dress. Also, the fabric is very heavy.
