Mari Giudicelli X J.Crew pleated trouser in wool blend

Love the cut of this pant, very modern and the detail down the side of the leg is great. I ordered two sizes and kept the larger one. After one wearing and sitting all day the fabric gave a bit and I think I could have taken a smaller size.

I just bought these when they went on major sale recently, I love wearing dress pants for work and to dress up an everyday fit. When I received these I immediately noticed how thick and heavy they were, instead of the thin material I’m used to with some cheaper quality items. These seem like a great winter pant. I’m a size 4, 5’5”, if I want to wear them tight around my waist so that the bottom hem hits perfectly at my ankles I need a belt, but relaxed around the hips they fit well with a little bagginess at the base. I love the straight leg look. They are slightly loose but still flattering, in a way that’s appropriate for work or a day out.

I have been watching these pants and grabbed them when they went on sale. I wish I had trusted my initial thoughts to wait for a review - I like to see other's experiences. The pants are very wide in the leg - not flattering in any manner. Maybe in a smaller size they look better, but I ordered my usual size 14. They did not look like pictured at all. The waist is a big snug as well, but not a deal breaker. I unfortunately cannot recommend these - a very rare fail by J.Crew.
