Relaxed trench coat in denim

Great quality, thicker denim than expected that's also lined. I read the previous reviews about being too large so I ordered 2 sizes smaller and it fits pretty perfectly. This trench is meant to be an oversize coat so I would say it's looser around the shoulders. Since I'm 5'3, I would say it does look better when I'm wearing heeled boots.

I've wanted a really cute denim trench all my adult life - delighted to have seemingly found THE one. It arrived today, and was returned within the hour. Material quality: fantastic, lined with a beautiful fabric in blue Cut: well executed, Sizing: So roomy, the back flap makes one look like they sport a hunch back when belted. Belt: Not provided (which was fine for me, I like my leather belt here), Buttons: Weird placement- seems like we're missing a row or two there, it draws the eye to the area beneath the waist & makes one look like they have an extra long body and super short legs- not flattering :)!

I put this on my fall must have list, and I am not disappointed. The trench coat is relaxed, but tailored, roomy, made of high quality denim and a nice lining. The coat is heavier weight denim, but that's what gives it the tailored look instead of a soft wrinkly mess. I am 5'2" and wear a 12. I purchased the Large and I love the loose great fit. I did have to take up the sleeves 1.5" which included the sleeve tabs, buttons and lining since no petite was offered. Wear it loose over puff sleeve dresses or belted over sweaters and wide leg denim jeans with heels. This coat can be casual or dressy. I may wear it just belted with a nice shirt. Love it!

I purchased this trench with all the best intentions, that it’d be great to transition into fall weather-even after reading it was a bit on the larger side (I thought sure great for sweaters, sweatshirts with layering). Nope. This trench has no shape- does nothing for curves and is boxy. It would have been perfect with a belt which, should be provided as a standard with this kind of style. It’s giving oversized kimono and not in a stylish way. I ordered size large (I’m 5’ 7/ size 16/ curvy athletic shape). Ladies! I should’ve brought a medium, instead. Just had to kick the bucket and will return. Such a great deep denim indigo with nice luxury weight to it. Just needs more shape and a belt!

I really like this denim trench and really wanted to make it work for me because the denim is a great indigo color and has a nice weighted feel. Unfortunately the coat is HUGE, especially in the shoulder area. It’s very 1980s retro shoulder pad style! You cannot stylishly wear this trench unless you ADD YOUR OWN belt. I’d advise to order at least 2 sizes down. If you’re “big and tall” this is a dream trench but if you’re tiny or small, it’s not going to work.

Coat is heavy and looks frumpy. No shape at all. I thought “self tie” meant it included a belt so you could give the coat some style but there is No belt. Nice quality but just too shapeless. Going back.
