Marie Marot X J.Crew Kate straight-leg pant in stretch velvet

I wanted to love these pants so much. Loved the color, loved they were a Kate and that they were stretch, loved they came in extended sizes. Poor execution on fit. I am curvy on the bottom and didn't have an issue with the hips but the waist was much smaller than other Kate pants and even the full length velvet ones that match the Willa blazer. These were also much shorter than they appeared on the model. I had also hoped the drape was prettier on these but they're kind of stiff and crunchy. Too bad, color is stunning and just what I've been looking for.

The design concept and color of these pants are lovely. The description states stretch velvet which it is not. If you have any curve to your bottom they will be narrow on your hips. Size up and have them altered if you must have these. However, for the price the material and execution are enough for me to send them back
