our designers reached across the Atlantic to English brand Barbour and invited them to put their own spin on our classic Barn Jacket, originally introduced in 1983. A pioneer in weather-resistant outerwear and countrywear, John Barbour opened his first store in 1894 in the small fishing and sailing port town of South Shields, England. This version of the Barn Jacket is crafted with Barbour's four-ounce waxed cotton (the perfect weight for transitional weather) and lined in the brand's signature tartan. Wear it often, as the jacket will break in and feel like an old friend over time. Please note that this is a unisex item and the sizes listed are men's. To find your women's size, order one size down for a comfortably relaxed fit. For example, a men's small is similar to a women's medium.

Barbour/J.Crew Collaboration Subpar
3 days agoThe Barbour/J.Crew collaboration is subpar compared to a real Barbour garment on every level. Very filmsy cheap feeling knock off outer shell. Cut corners on pocket size, etc. Avoid unless it goes on sale for at least 50% off...even then I would pass. Returned for refund.

Relaxed Fit
October 9, 2025I like the overall design of this jacket but ended up returning because it's a bit too boxy for my body type (slim fit size small). For those preferring a more fitted jacket, the Ashby is a better option.

September 26, 2025I was looking for this exact style of waxed cotton barn jacket for the fall. The construction is very high quality and is a classic design that one can use for a lot of Autumn outfits. If you're looking for a Barbour style jacket that doesn't feel bulky and fits more like a J.Crew cut, this is definitely the jacket to buy!

What a great barn coat!
September 19, 2025Absolutely beautiful! I have several Barbour jackets, but this one is special. It elevates the level of style with several unique derails, particularly the hints of corduroy trim at the edges of the pockets. It's lighter weight and a slimmer fit than my other Barbour jackets (Bedale, Beaufort, etc.) so it's better suited to mild weather as opposed to cold, wet, and blustery.

Another Classic Barbour
June 24, 2025I love this jacket! It took me a few tries to be able to snag a small, but so glad I finally did. It was worth the wait! This is an awesome jacket. Classic Barbour at its finest. It’s a unisex jacket so a size small fits my normal size medium body with room for layering. Good for those chilly summer nights now and will be great for autumn daily wear. I love the greenish color as it works with a variety of looks. Highly recommend if you can get your hands on it!

April 29, 2025This jacket threaded the needle: it’s both relaxed and polished at the same time. It is a great weight that isn’t too heavy for warmer, rainy days— but will still work on the chilly ones. Hard to beat.
