What customers are saying:
Customers really love the top’s classy design, versatile style, and overall high-quality feel that works well both at work and for casual outings. They repeatedly highlighted the standout cowl neck and polished finish that make it a go-to piece for dressing up or keeping it low-key. Several customers suggested opting for a size down for a more tailored fit, since many felt the top tends to run a bit large, especially on petite frames. In addition, customers enjoyed the range of colors available and expressed interest in seeing more options like tall sizes for those with longer torsos.

I would buy this in every colour!
June 24, 2019Had I known I would love this sleeveless top so much I would have bought it in every colour available (whether it suited me or not). I like wearing sleeveless tops under suits for work. The 'cowl' is stylish and hides my deep cleavage. The armholes are cut perfectly so that if you are wearing it without a jacket, your lingerie does not show at all. The only 'issue' I have with it is the quality of the fabric. It's a slightly stiff satin. It would be perfect if it was a jersey knit or a thicker silk. Love it. You should buy it!

Nice piece but likely a bit overrated
May 29, 2019I ordered this on (deep) sale in both burgundy and black mostly because of the very high reviews. Not sure it warrants such praise - it's a good piece but not great. I like that it is wash and wear and it certainly looks polished. The fabric does have a nice weight to it and the burgundy is a beautiful color IRL. It is a bit boxy and not fitted, so leads people to believe that it is oversized/slightly large. I bought my usual size (M) and it falls in line with the fit on the model. I am rather busty (34DDD) and it fits in the chest while being drapey around the hips. The cowl neck is rather high (I'd have liked it be a big lower cut). As some others have mentioned, it does have deep armholes. I don't mind it but can imagine those who are petite or have slender arms would find it an issue. The one disappointment with this top is that I wish it were a bit longer (it seems to hit the model at the lower hip whereas it hits me mid hip).

Beautiful must buy top!
May 13, 2019This is the best top I have ever purchased from J. Crew. It is beautiful and lays perfectly. It does not wrinkle easily. This top does run large! I am 5'1" and normally wear an XS or 2 in J. Crew tops. I needed to purchase size XXS in this top. I bought the Black and Burgundy since other colors were sold out in XXS. I will be buying the other colors if they come back in stock. J. Crew, please restock this gorgeous top!

Incredibly elegant piece ( + wash & wear rules:)
May 11, 2019Purchased this top on a whim to wear under my suits at work...it is so comfortable that I find myself wearing it on weekends too. I bought it in black and have received many compliments. While I don't normally purchase the same style twice, I may add another to my wardrobe given how low maintenance it is and how chic it looks on.

Lovely neckline; perfect for under blazers
May 2, 2019I got one on burgundy and one in ivory and love them both. I purchased a size M which is what I normally wear with loose fitting tops and this one does drape loosely without a tight fit.
