Kids' Secret Wash shirt in gingham

I bought this shirt and the matching bow tie for my son to wear to church and any formal affairs we may have this summer. He wore it for Easter with a Khaki suit from J.Crew as well. We got so many compliments. I love the color and the fit. I thought the fabric would be a little more crisp, but this is a soft, more casual fabric. That being said, with a tie and under a vest and suit jacket, it dresses right up. Pair it with some jeans and a white tee for an instant clean, casual look, and you can take it straight from the reception to dinner on the beach. Very cute!

It was a well-made shirt, but the colour was dull when I actually held it in my hands. Online, the material looked more "glossy". I had to return it because it was not what we wanted.

I love the special detail of adding a monogram on the sleeve cuff. It is great for older boys.

Colors are great and prices are good, especially on sale. I also find them true to fit and long enough to stay tucked in. I don't love the 'secret wash'. It's hard enough getting the boys not to look sloppy. I finally get them to put on a button down and it looks a little wrinkled. I wish it came in a non-iron version. I think they would fly off the shelves!

This shirt looked so cute on my 2-year old son. It fit him really well. He normally wears a 2T and the 2T was true to size. It looks great with a little cardigan over it, also.
