These Birks are a higher-end version of their classic Arizona. The footbed is a really nice black leather, giving them a “dressier” look. I absolutely love them and look forward to many years of wear.

Giving one star due to inaccurate description from J.Crew. Everyone knows Birkenstocks come in both regular/wide and Narrow/medium fit. The description for this item on J.Crew specified narrow fit but that’s not what I received. I received the regular/medium fit. Disappointed, I wouldn’t have purchased had this been accurate information.

Love the big buckles, very comfortable and and updated classic

I like the look of the big buckle but the brown leather looks a bit flat and cheap; it has no depth and is quite rigid. I’ve owned lots of Birkenstocks but these will require more breaking in than others — I’m wearing them around with socks to try to soften them up. Got my usual Birkenstocks size 38 (I’m consistently a 7 in women’s shoes.)

I’ve wanted a pair of Birkenstock because I’ve heard they’re very comfortable and podiatrist-approved. I just didn’t like the suede foot bed. I saw these smooth leather ones with the big gold buckles on the J. Crew website decided to get them. I usually wear between 6.5 to 7 and got the 38 but they were too long, so I exchanged them for a 37 and they fit well. They are very nice shoes and comfortable because of the arched foot bed. They may need some breaking in because they are not soft.

Will go with everything this summer!
