Wallace & Barnes sherpa-lined corduroy jacket

Great jacket. Very warm. A little big.

1st, the color is rich and the corduroy is plush. The fit it roomey; I 6'3" 42R and this coat allows for sweaters, sweatshirts to be worn under it. I've gotten multiple compliments on it. Definitely a great addition to my wardrobe.

As a gold-tier J Crew member, I buy quite a bit of their merchandise; some acquisitions turn out better than others. This W&B jacket is my favorite J Crew purchase of 2022. I'm 6' and 195 lbs with broad shoulders, and sometimes I have sizing issues where an XL will allow me to move my arms around without feeling like Frankenstein, but it fits too big across the stomach. This jacket in XL couldn't fit any better if it had been tailored for me.

I'm a woman but loved this classic design for outdoors/fall so much that I bought it. Definitely a forever piece. Really soft/comfortable, too. Size-wise: Bought a Medium thinking that would leave room to shrink in washer/dryer given 100% cotton. While there's excess fabric on me at the shoulders as expected (see: men's shoulders vs. women's shoulders), it just fits comfortably/slightly loose everywhere else. Usually when I buy Medium size jackets in J.Crew women's styles, they're a bit looser than this, so it's noteworthy that this man's Medium doesn't feel as loose. Thus, I agree with the other reviewer who mentioned this fits "trim." If you're looking to wear with sweatshirts/anything underneath and buttoned up, I might size up in anticipation of 100% cotton shrinkage. I personally like a bit of room in jackets. But definitely recommend picking this up if you can - it's a solid style.

Since it’s Wally B. (Wallace & Barnes) it runs big, so I suggest going a size down. This jacket will definitely keep you warm in cold weather. It also matches well with any brown leather shoes/boots you have.
