New Balance® X J.Crew 996 women's sneakers

I really liked these sneakers as they fit good and didn't make my feet look huge. They are very comfortable, I am usually an 8 and the 7 1/2 fit perfect. The problem I have is that the seam at the toe area busted as the stitches didn't hold the fabric.Also the tip fabric has completely worn off. This is after wearing them and having them less than a year. I don't really wear sneakers often so this was not from everyday wear. They just didn't hold up. I did write to New Balance with photos and never heard back.

I am a big fan of felt so when I got this I was over the moon. It has the comfort you get from New Balance, plus the felt material. Interestingly I bought it together with another pair of New Balance (the orangey one) from JCrew, this one is not as tight as the other. So I’d say this pair is true to size

I am surprised because I have the impression to have longer feet when wearing these shoes

I loved these and ordered them as soon as possible because I’m sure they’ll sell out. I’m typically a 7 1/2 but ordered both a 7 1/2 and an 8 because my sizing in sneakers, especially New Balance, can vary. I kept the 7 1/2, because I’m only wearing these barefoot or with thin below the ankle socks, and that size felt the most comfortable. The 8 would have been ok, but felt a tad too long. Overall, they’re very comfy and I love the tweed like material!

I own several pairs of New Balance and these are, by far, the least comfortable I’ve worn. They run a half size small, are narrow and the footbed is shallow so they don’t feel like they cradle your foot properly. I love the color scheme but the wool like fabric makes them feel stiff.

These are nice looking shoes but fit very narrow and short. I had to return.
