Collection tailored trench coat in leopard

My husband bought me this coat for Christmas. I agree with other reviewers that it is more impressive in-person than it appears onscreen. I did notice that the description says it has a "plaid print on interior." (?) Actually, it is lined in a pale gold, solid fabric, or at least the one I received is. I don't mind (in fact I prefer that to plaid) but thought I should mention it in case anyone considering this really wants a plaid lining! The coat is good quality fabric and true-to-size. I find it fits comfortably, but I don't think it would fit well with a bulkier sweater underneath.

I had been debating about buying this coat for months. Well I did and couldn’t be happier. It is such a classic piece! My first reaction when I opened the box was the wonderful quality and construction of the coat. The full lining is beautiful. Can’t wait for spring or a warm winter day here in the Northeast. Don’t hesitate on this one.

Beautifully designed and tailored substantial weight twill. In the picture the fabric looked flimsy to me, but actually it is quite structured and suitable to wear during our mild Carolinas winters. Size up if you intend to wear it throughout the winter months over sweaters (I'm exchanging the 6 for an 8 for this reason). The elegant, restrained wrap design will easily adapt and not appear too voluminous over lighter weight blouses or dresses in the Spring and Fall.

I just received my coat today. It's gorgeous! I do find the fact that it has no buttons utterly bizarre, but I was thrilled by the quality. It's Jenna-era J. Crew quality and reminds me of why I fell in love with this brand decades ago in high school!

J. Crew needs to correct the description of this coat! It is fully lined, and the fact that it said partially lined at the back is why I had hesitated to order it. The fabric is more of a canvas rather than a slick, smooth fabric like many trench/rain coats. I love the print. It looks to be manufactured well (in Cambodia). I am also pleased about its simplicity without things like epaulets on the shoulders and buckles around the bottom of the sleeves. I think it is a more feminine looking coat, and I love the longer length. Another thing that delights me is that it is NOT a "relaxed/drapey/over-sized" fit. I prefer to look trim and tailored. I will also say that it is true to size because the size 0 fit, and the sleeves are the right length for me. I am 5'3", 100 lbs., 34B with longish arms for my height. The shoulders are not too snug, and I would be able to wear a sweater (or perhaps a sweater blazer) underneath and be comfortable, although not a regular blazer.
