Cashmere collared sweater-dress

I read the reviews, downsized, panicked because it was final sale, then it arrived and fit perfectly. The red dress looks so cute paired with my black clogs and my loafers. The fabric is far more substantial than what J.Crew has been selling lately for their sweaters, so it drapes nicely and the belt helps to give it some shape. I love it, and I'm so glad I took the chance while it was deeply discounted. I love this classy but relaxed look, and I love the soft weighty cashmere--I feel great wearing this around and would feel fine wearing it around town! The red is definitely not see-through.

This dress is great. Hide all your imperfections. I got size L/XL, and I am normally XL/XXL. It fits very well. I ordered mint, which is delicious and waiting for beige one. It does not look like a bathrobe AT ALL. It looks like a good quality winter, elegant, soft and warm dress. The dress is slightly more fitted in the hip area, but the top is just slightly oversized, like all the sweaters this season.

I purchased the mint green color, which is gorgeous. The cashmere has a quality feel to it with some weight. The downside for me it that it looks completely like lounge wear/bathrobe, not something I could wear out of the house. For reference, I'm 5'2", 125lbs and I purchased the XS. If you are looking for cashmere lounge wear, I'd highly recommend this piece.

I wish I would have realized this was a final sale item. I am not the skinniest of people, but I got a small, and it looks like I am wearing a sack (even with the wrap). There goes $100+ on nothing.

I think the main disconnect is the way the dress is draped on the mannequin-the fit is not that crisp. It’s softer, more like you see on the models. I took a chance on this since it was final sale - got the red in the M/L. I’m 5’7, size 12ish, 31 in JCrew jeans. It’s a little roomy but I think the S/M would have been clingy. The drape is good with the M/L, no need for spanx or tights or anything. The biggest issue for me is what shoes are best- I actually think a mule works best like shown on the models. Overall I like it and will find a use in my wardrobe-likely around holidays.

Fabric quality nice, but I would never wear this out in public. Saving for next year when dressing up as Santa or for lounging around near a fireplace with hot coco. If you like feeling sexy when going out .... this is not for you. If you just want to stay warm this winter I would recommend. The L/ XL feels like a 4 XL
