Midweight denim workshirt

Attractive, but smaller than most J Crew casual shirts. I would recommend ordering up one size.

Absolutely love this denim shirt, has a nice wait to it, and is the absolute perfect fit.

It's very thick and has dark denim cloth. It is very good with jacket or blazer~

While the shirt itself is true to size and seems to be very well-constructed, I was put off by the extreme mothball smell. I laundered the shirt once and hung it to dry outside...the smell remained, but slightly less intense than it was at first. Then the shirt was very stiff, and could have really used a tumble dry to soften it up- but I was afraid the heat of the dryer would set the smell into the fabric. Instead I laundered the shirt a second time and hung it out again. It still has an odor, and when I get the energy to address this shirt issue again I'll try soaking it in vinegar. Obviously I've some time on my hands, but no, I would rather just have a wearable shirt.

After taking really good care of myself recently (leaning down) - I’ve had to replace some staples in my wardrobe as they’re suddenly rendered ‘too big’. Hence, I needed a new denim shirt - something, it should be noted, I consider a ‘workhorse’ in any man’s wardrobe. What’s outstanding about J Crew’s proffering is; it’s got a ‘substantial’ look, but without the bulk of heavy, stiff denim. It tucks into my trousers easily, and can be worn with or without a T-shirt underneath. Or, open, and untucked over a T-shirt. And, don’t even get me started on the superb finishes - and excellent choice of buttons. Long story short - I am in serious lust with this shirt.

I always snag these when they are on sale (and consequently have 4+ in my closet at any given time). Great weight and very versatile.
