Relaxed-fit cropped chambray shirt

A new addition and favorite piece to my closet. I love that JCrew offer timeless and well fitting pieces.

I liked the fabric, color & length of this shirt. It can be worn as a blouse with a high waisted skirt or as an open shirt on top of a tank top with white pants or dark jeans. I usually wear a size 2 in JCrew & ordered a 2 but wish I would have gotten size 0 because it’s more relaxed than I am used to.

Neither photo of this top reveals just how boxy it is. In one photo the model has her hands over her head, I guess to hide how much the shirt sticks out. Sadly, the top is not flattering, and I don't see why it was made to stick out like a tent. The fabric and color are great. I got the 6 ( my usual size in J Crew button-up tops); it wasn't a size issue. I really wish the photos gave a more accurate depiction.

I have so many of these cropped shirts now. I do go up a size from my normal size 6 , gives me a little extra length and fits my broad shoulders better. Great color and will wear this over and over again. Love that it's a lighter chambray, but not that white washed look, which I like. These shirts are great with literally everything . skirts, pants, denim, and so on.
