Gorgeous Dress
November 17, 2024For reference, I am 5'7", 112#, 32C, 26" waist, body type: long skinny arms, straight hips, flat butt. I purchased this in XXS and XS. The reviews are right, the dress is on the heavier side but only the skirt is heavy and full. The skirt is so voluminous that the deep side pockets can get "lost". For those who are concerned about how much it weighs, the extra small barely weighs 0.4 lbs. I highly doubt this dress in a larger size weighs 20 lbs as one reviewer noted. The XS was just slightly roomy but did not swallow my body. I only chose to keep the XXS due to a better fit around the armholes and waist. The cotton fabric is luxurious! It's buttery soft but yet 'crisp'. (Wait, am I describing a dress or a croissant here?!!) It feels like a 1200 thread count luxury bedsheet against my skin. Ladies, definitely pack it on your next vacation. I hope JCrew brings this dress back next Spring, but with a little less skirt material, buttons-rather than a zipper on top, and more color options.
