Collection cashmere sailor-collar pointelle sweater

Gorgeous sweater. It’s true to size, so soft, and a true, vibrant navy.

Really cute sweater but the fibers shed like crazy. The white cotton tank top I wore underneath it had a ton of navy fibers on it by the end of the day. Cute fit but be prepared for shedding

I'd had my eye on this sweater for a while, so when it finally went on sale for a great price, I finally bought it. I'm super happy with my purchase! I own a lot of J.Crew cashmere, and this sweater is definitely feels like a higher quality one. it is thick knit, but still lightweight due to the pointelle pattern, and the sailor collar is timeless. the navy blue color also adds to the overall nautical feel of the sweater. I think this will become a summer staple in my wardrobe, whether it be a fancy dinner, everyday wear, or a beach/pool day.

I keep a stash of J.Crew cashmere sweaters in the Save for Later area of my account for when prices drop to 50% or better off retail, and this cashmere sailor-collar pointelle sweater was in resting mode at the right price. The dilemma with J.Crew, however, is always the sizing, which varies from item to item and Final Sale items that don't fit can a disappointing experience, though J.Crew was kind to accept a return on a Fair Isle Cashmere in a "TTS" Medium that fit like a potato sack. For reference, I am 5'4", 147# so I read these reviews really carefully in conjunction with the description that says "relaxed" fit and believed that the first reviewer who was relatively negative would have liked the fit if she had sized-down, and in the end, fingers-crossed, I purchased an XS which fits perfectly. If you want a fitted look, two sizes down is not too small. Size down for a cleaner fit. This is a beautiful, all-year sweater and who doesn't love navy?!
