July 1, 2025Description is accurate. These are a rigid denim with no stretch. I typically wear a 34/35 in denim at JCrew and the 34 was very snug. They’re also very long.

Lower Rise Wide Leg Jeans in 1984 - Not Great!!!
February 2, 2025I purchase these jeans, hoping to be optimistic due to reading so many reviews that these jeans run BIG!!! Well maybe for the length was long, since the reviews stated that the waist size was huge, (I normally wear a size 27), what was available was 26, so I purchase it was the waist was tight and length was long. Also the jeans were a FINAL SALE. I am 5'2, weight 130.

Better in the photos
January 26, 2025Looks much better in the photos. Huge in the waist yet somehow tight in the crotch/upper thigh area. In person the material doesn’t look as nice either.

consider sizing down 2x
January 25, 2025usually a size 29, sometimes a 28, and sized down to 28 after reading reviews. these still have a 3 inch gap at the waist, but for the price, the quality denim, and the style, i'll be getting them tailored. they do run long - i'm 5'6 and without some kind of platform shoe they would probably drag more than i would like.
