Lace-trim gathered top

This top shows off the shoulder, but when I tried it on, it's on the shoulder and short, and if I wear if off, it looks like I've pulled it down because there's extra fabric all under the armpit area. So, I really don't know how I'll wind up wearing it since it looks "right" on the shoulder, but then it's too short for me since I have a long torso. Beautiful quality.

I love linen and have purchased a ton of J.Crew linen pieces for myself and my family, online and in store. I bough this top in the peach color because it looked so pretty. The description stated that it is 100% linen. It is NOT. Please see my photo of the label that states the shell is 100% ramie. To make things worse, the lining is 100% viscose. I thought I was buying a cool and breezy linen top to wear in hot weather on a getaway. What I ended up wearing was a synthetic fabric next to my skin, which is neither cool nor breezy. This top IS pretty, but it is NOT as advertised.

This white linen top is stunning. It is lined which is amazing and hard to find for blouses. The lace details are delicate. The fit is perfect.

I just came back to buy a second one of these in black. I bought it on sale in white and just love it. It's the kind of "go to" top that can dress up any outfit. The quality of the linen is gorgeous, the sleeves are feminine and the detailing and lace just make this a romantic, beautiful blouse. I love the cut and the length is perfect. I'm sad that it's fall in Boston and I won't get to wear this until next year but it will absolutely be the first thing I pull out when it's time!

Romantic beauty. Fine fabric with fine lace. I wore it with the sleeves and shoulders up, but it could be worn in two ways. I purchased it in a size smaller after trying my size, which I thought was too much fabric for me. I prefer a size smaller than what I usually wear. Looks good with a matching skirt and with linen slacks.
