Not a Tailored Look
March 13, 2026Another casualty of final sale. I've been hunting a tailored knee length denim short to wear with a blazer as a summer suit. This is not it. I look like the moms of my friends in the 1980s. Possibly this cut is not meant for big hips/menopausal pear bodies. The denim is not thick so it can look rumply. Also I'm 5' so clothes can often look frumpy on me if meant for tall slim people. This cut flares out from my hips unflatteringly.

lovely
January 1, 2026best tailored trouser short i own. It's the perfect inseam, not too long but not too short. I went down from my normal size since I find J Crew runs a little bigger. I'm normally a 6/28 and I fit the best in the 4/27. Rich dark denim perfect to dress up or down.

Modern and so cool
