Utility midi shirt-dress in cotton poplin

Purchased for work. Finally a professional length.

Great dress, does run a little snug. Bought the navy, and it's such a perfect wardrobe staple. Can do a lot with this and really change it up with accessories and shoes. Fabric is a nice polished cotton poplin, not too heavy - I expect it will wash/wear well. Pockets are a nice touch, not too utility looking. Very flattering lines that elongate your look. FIT - does run a bit narrow. I ordered one size up, and I'm glad I did - it fits very well but I am going to have to wear my minimizer bra to keep it from being too snug up top. **If you have a straight figure, you might be OK with your regular size. If you have any curves in hips or chest, I highly recommend going up a size. (Don't stress about that - no one sees the tag.) **

Love the style and the (mint) color but this is cut VERY narrow. I'm reliably a size 8, but just in case (because the style is quite tailored) I also ordered a size 10. Couldn't even button up the 8, and was shocked that the 10 (which I could just button up) is still fitting too snugly! I can't believe that I will have to go TWO sizes up from my regular size (and have the shoulder seams taken in) if I really want this dress....
