Jules western shirt in lightweight denim

I purchased the J.Crew Jules Western Shirt in Lightweight Denim in a size small. I’m a big fan of both denim shirts and classic western styles, so I was excited to try this one. For reference, I’m 5'6.5" and 120 pounds, and the size small fits true to size. The lightweight fabric is exactly as described, and it’s comfortable and easy to wear. I’ve washed it twice and ironed it, and it has held up well so far. However, I don’t feel this shirt fully delivers on a true “western” look. One detail that really stood out to me is the top closure—it uses a standard button rather than a snap. Why the top button? It takes away from that authentic western feel. It’s a small detail, but it makes a noticeable difference. At this price point, I was hoping for a more traditional execution of the style. While it’s a nice shirt overall, I do think there are other options out there that better capture the classic western design for the same or lower price.

I bought this shirt recently and couldn’t wait to wear it! It is perfect with pants, skirts, even shorts. The color is perfect and I love the western detailing. I purchased the size 4, my usual in JCrew, and it fits tts.
