Softspun sweater

This sweater really sums up my main frustration with J. Crew: the wildly inconsistent sizing. I have an amazing J. Crew slim sweater very similar to this, I ordered this one in the same size and it's 4 inches longer at the waist and 3 inches longer at the sleeves. My original sweater is beautifully cut and looks incredible. This sweater feels like it was designed by an amateur: it's slim in the shoulders only, then gets dumpy in the waist and sides with a lot of extra fabric (even visible on the models, who are tall I'm sure), and has an elbow patch which begins an inch below my elbow. I'm 5'11 and wear a size 40 shirt, normally a J. Crew medium, and honestly this sweater looks like a mislabeled Tall Slim. So if you're 6 foot 3 with arms that would earn you a walk on role in Avatar 2 and a spare tire around your waist -- well do I have the sweater for you! Final sale right now so buyer beware.

I really like everything about this sweater but the fit. It's a good casual sweater in a great deep blue color. Unfortunately I found the fit to be too loose and the sleeves a bit too long.

I bought two of these, in blue and black. They fit well, are amazingly soft for regular wool and not itchy, and are an ideal casual sweater for fall through spring.

The name says itself: the sweater is really soft. The color (cognac) is very stylish. My boyfriend is happy with the purchase.

Warm and soft,a perfect pairing with slacks and oxfords or jeans and sneakers.
