Ludlow Slim-fit unstructured suit jacket in stretch cotton

Purchased for my slender build son and fit perfectly. The Regular fit perfectly on the hip and his longer arms. Nice to throw on as a dinner jacket, and he plans to wear with t-shirts and more casual--yet when he may need a collar. 4* because a lining would have made it perfect.

material is lighter than it looks online. The jacket is wider than I would expect for a 40R. There is no lining.

Very pleased with quality and slim fit. It fits me perfectly. The only complaint I have is that free shipping means it is shipped in a plastic bag instead of a box. This results in the jacket arriving somewhat wrinkled and according to the care label it cannot be ironed, only dry cleaned.

I bought the navy and light gray blazer. The navy blazer fits nice, but the gray one looks noticeably large. Even my co workers noticed and said something about it! Both of them were labeled 42R so you would assume they fit the same, nope.

The color is somewhere between a weathered gray and a sharkskin style of gray that is very interesting and unique. I am 6'1", ~185 pounds and wear a 36" dress shirt sleeve. All of my Un-Suits are 42 Long. The suits need the sleeve shortened a bit for a perfect fit and I personally like the slightly longer body length. It definitely skews a little more traditional in that length. I own a tweed Ludlow in a 42 R and by the time the sleeves were let out to the appropriate length there wasn't that much material left to work with. The body length in a 42 R is fine for me, but I do think the 42 Long is my better fit. As a reference, I own a couple of Wallace and Barnes jackets and am a perfect off the rack fit in 42 Long. In the Wallace and Barnes jackets a 42 Regular is far too short in the sleeves.

Bought this coat for business casual work events and it's exactly the look I was going for. Really light and fits very well.
