Ludlow Slim-fit suit jacket in Italian stretch worsted wool

I have never had to have sleeves shortened on a "Short" suit coat. But this needs to be tailored -- it is about 1 1/4 inches longer than standard short sleeves.

This is my first ludlow suit. I have gotten many compliments from my graduate school classmates and some strangers at a professional convention. The color was perfect and the fit was amazing! I had them shorten the sleeves a little. Couldn't be happier with this suit. I will definitely be back for another ludlow suit.

J Crew's 'Ludlow' line fits my husband like a glove! He doesn't need any tailoring with Ludlow and the quality is equal to suits from more expensive brands. This particular suit is no exception (we bought the pants to go with the jacket). Looks very sharp!

I have no complaint about the suit,however, I used j crew for alterations and they snagged the front of the jacket. Not enough to complain and get a new one but enough for me to notice and not be happy with it.

Great jacket. I've had numerous custom suits as well as those that are more expensive. This suit is hard to beat for both the quality and value. Perfect for travel and meetings.

Overall, this is a decent suit, especially if you can purchase it on sale. It would seem a bit overpriced at full retail. I've only owned the suit for a few weeks, so I can't comment on long-term durability, but the quality is decent and, from my experience, J Crew suits tend to hold up well. The hand pick stitching on the lapel is a nice touch and one sign of a higher quality suit. I bought it in the Atlantic blue colour, which is a bit too blue for my liking, but it's okay for a summer suit at an occasion such as a wedding. The whole suit is slim cut, which, with J Crew, means an extra slim fit. I'm 6'1" and 150 pounds and this suit fits me perfectly. My tailor actually refused to touch it, saying that it was already an exact fit right out of the bag.
