Cropped rugby-striped tank top

My 16 year old daughter insisted that I get this top and I’m so glad she did! It’s a crop but not super short- in fact it’s just right with my high wasted jeans and the whole combination makes my waist look tiny! All around win for me...and my stylist :)

I followed the instructions and washed it carefully & didn’t dry it. However the dye from the blue ran to the white stripe in just one cold wash. I was very disappointed.

Originally I bought this top to wear with the skirt but it can be universally born with other items. I found a comfortable and the quality is great. It’s not a top for everyone since it is more of a crop but if know how to style the top, it can be a cute accent.

I haven't worn this top once without getting compliments from both strangers and friends. The rugby design makes it look classic, and the cropped cut pairs really well with high-waisted shorts, skirts, pants. The material is heavier and sturdier than I imagined - definitely feels high-quality. I see another review mentions the stripes not matching up on the front and back; mine do, so perhaps that piece was an exception. I'm 5'6 and athletic, and usually wear a 4 or S/XS in J.Crew tops. I bought this in a S, and it rests just below my belly button, skimming the top of high-waisted bottoms. Overall, I'm really thrilled about this piece and glad I invested in it. People routinely ask where I bought it and if it comes in more colors.

This top is beautiful on - a great mix of classic rugby stripe that JCrew is known for with the modern twist of the crop top. The quality issue lies with the lining up of the stripes on the front and back of this top; in a few words - they don't. It is such a simple design flaw and would make this top look so much more of a quality piece if the stripes lined up between the front and back. The fit of the piece is true to size (for JCrew clothing), and the crop hits slightly above belly button on my 5'7" frame (fairly proportionate torso/legs).
