Worst Purchase Ever
January 9, 2018I’ve been searching for the perfect pajama look outfit, and put my trust in J.Crew to deliver. Unfortunately, this was the worst purchase ever due to the quality and feel of the fabric. Considering the name brand and price, I did not expect the quality to be so bad. The tag claims 64% polyester and 30% silk (I wonder what the other 6% is). I would recommend that J.Crew contact the factory in China to make sure that this claim is even true. The fabric is extremely shiny, stiff, feels like flammable plastic, and wrinkles easily. The top is very boxy, and is shorter on than it looks on the model (and I have an extremely short torso). The fabric is so cheap looking and stiff, it makes noise when I move! If I were J.Crew, I would have a recall on this top (and the matching pants sold separately), because it is a bad representation of its brand.

Dinner perfect
December 15, 2017Wore with jeans and booties to dinner. Perfect look. Not boxy as some described and easy to move in. I purchased it a size larger because I wanted it to be roomy and it still was adorable.

Not as nice as I'd hoped
August 29, 2017This top in real life is made of a stiff, artificial-feeling polyester/silk blend. With the word "satin" in the name, I was hoping for something that felt more buttery and silky....honestly as a Collection piece, I expected 100% silk. The fabric also creases instantly. Like if you bend your arms, wrinkles appear. Too bad, because the style is adorable, and I love the color. I hope J Crew will try again with a more supple fabric. This top runs about one size large if you are looking to wear it as a blouse.

Very boxy, very bright, satin is very stiff
May 21, 2017As a jacket, this is a good style, and it looks super cute on the model. I was hoping to wear it more as a shirt, but the style is too wide and the fabric too stiff to drape nicely for even a partial-tuck. The fabric is not a soft satin, but has a backing that makes it stiffer. It ran large at the shoulders and torso. I wouldn't have minded the brightness in a shirt but seems too much for a jacket. J.Crew, make this in a softer silk to wear as a blouse too!
