Paper-bag wide-leg pant

When inspecting my pants I noticed the threads were broken about an inch below the pocket. Then I noticed an identical flaw on the other side. They came damaged and are not returnable. J crew quality is really going down hill.

I agree with other reviewers that you need to size up but only by one size. I went up by 2 sizes and they are too big. So if you are an 8 go to 10 not 12. They look nice and yes they come wrinkled but the fabric is actually very comfortable and with just a bit of steaming or ironing, they look great.

Love the ladies who write a review on sizing recommendations. I always follow them and cross my fingers and bam, it works! I am usually a size 2 for jcrew and so i ordered a size 4. Really nervous it might be big but i listened and thank god i did. It fits perfectly, enough room to tuck in my shirt comfortably. Had i ordered a size 2, for sure would have some belly stress. Love the look and quality.

I am shaped like a Coke bottle. My hips are huge compared to my waist. As such, I have a very hard time finding pants that fit. However, J Crew's wide leg paper bag pants fit me perfectly. That said, I ordered a pair of paper bag jeans and these pants, both in my usual size 4. The jeans fit perfectly, but these pants were way too small. It was like I was stuffed in a sausage skin. So I returned them and ordered a size 6. The size 6 was still tight! However, I could tell there was potential for them to look great, so I ordered them in a size 8. The size 8 are perfect. They are the tiniest bit big at the waist but that will allow me to tuck a sweater in and/or with a belt it doesn't matter. These pants are not as wide as the other paper bag pants. Hence, they look a little bit dressier. However, J Crew did not adjust the sizing to reflect that. As such, order up at least one size, maybe two.

I thought that the style looked so cute and I loved the tan color for Fall! Sadly, I don't think the material is overly high quality, the pair that came to me were thin and already quite wrinkly. The fit from the hips down was great, and I liked the wide (but not too wide!) leg. The waist, though, didn't work well for me - it was just a little too tight to be comfortable. These might be a better fit on those with a true hourglass shape, much smaller waist than hip.
