Checkered flutter dress

I'm 5'9" 36ddd 30 39 and love this dress! I would have normally ordered the size 10 but listened to the advice of other reviewers and went up to a 12 and I'm happy that I did because it skims my body perfectly instead of hugging and clinging, which makes it my go to power work dress. I have a short-ish waist and was worried about the band in the front hitting the right spot on my body, which it does. It looks perfect. I pair it with a black blazer most of the time and my mid-calve oiled leather black and tweed boots but I have been known to pair it with a cream cashmere cardigan sweater or a neon red blazer and neutral or black shoes. I ALWAYS get compliments when I wear this dress and everyone asks me where I got it. When I remove my blazer the back of the dress is like "POW!" a fabulous extra touch. So sophisticated! Please bring back more items like this one, classic (wearable and fashionable for many years) with modern twists (like the back of this dress.)

It's not often that I'm immediately wowed by clothing that I order online. The fit and style of this dress is spot on. For reference, I'm 5'3" and 118lbs and the 2 is a perfect fit. Quality of the material is nice and it's well constructed. I did get both the 4 and 2 to be on the safe side and the 2 was the right one. So glad I was able to order the dress before they ran out of my size!

This dress is well-made out of great materials but it is just awkward on me personally. The top part is too loose - the top back buckles out and my arms feel constrained - maybe if I had a larger chest it would work better? I feel as if I just stood still, I look dynamite, but movements such as sitting and bending over show how the dress just doesn't flow. I am probably going to send it back which makes me sad as it is so cute and nicely made in some ways - just not in ways that work for me!

Perfect fit, great styling for both work and social. One of my favorite, most flattering dresses. Looks great with black tights and short suede boots!

Thanks to the helpful reviews, I ordered a size up from my usual J.crew dress size and it fits me perfectly. I was afraid that cap sleeves would accentuate my already broad shoulders but they didn’t. Not too short, and not to much of flare in the bottom. Colorblock on the back is a modern take on classic tweed, and it actually looks like you are wearing a black belt. If you like tweed, you will love this dress...

This dress exceeded my expectations. The cut, quality, and material were simply perfect. When I tried it on I didn't want to take it off. This is the perfect dress for the office. I plan to pair with black pointy boots and a few red accessories for a little pop. I ordered a 14 because I'm smaller on top and slightly wider in my hips; perfect fit. Ladies this is a must have for your wardrobe.
