Collection cashmere boyfriend sweater

I had my eye on this sweater for a while and finally purchased during the 50% off sale. I was blown away by the perfectly baggy fit of the sweater, and I could not be more thrilled with my purchase.

Loved the color(brown) and style but had to return it for a smaller size..

I have to say I was disappointed. I love J.Crew and have been shopping here for years but the quality of the cashmere is not what it used to be. At this price point I would expect a little more luxurious fabric. Also, I ordered it in Snow and noticed a dirt stain on the front and a hole in the seam on the cuff when I tried it on. I will be keeping it but will be rethinking my cashmere purchases in the future.

I read the reviews prior to purchasing this sweater and chose to believe the positive reviews over the negative ones - big mistake. This sweater does not feel like cashmere - it is thin and scratchy and is not soft. I'm on the small side and like my sweaters a little loose and so I normally buy a size medium for J Crew cashmere sweaters. But, given the reviews, I opted to purchase this in a small. Even the small is huge and has no shape. I can't imagine ever wearing this sweater. It really looks and feels like a male's sweater from a low quality store. I so regret this purchase and have learned that it is too risky to purchase a final sale item from J Crew online.

Boyfriend size is quite roomy. Would suggest going down a size if you want a comfortable, less roomy fit.

I purchased this sweater in hthr grey and espresso. Within the first couple of wears both sweaters developed holes in the sleeve seams near the wrists. On separate occasions, I brought the sweaters to a J.Crew store, and each was sent out for a complementary repair. Following the repair, the hthr grey sweater developed another hole, and I will have to make a fifth trip to J.Crew to have the sweater repaired. Don't buy this sweater. It has terrible construction.
