Sateen toothpick pant

I have these in black and struggle to not wear them every single day. Favorite pair of pants I've ever owned. So flattering and comfortable! The fit feels more proportionate than most other pants. Sad that I missed out on other colors because my size sold out so quickly - please bring them back for this fall season!

I look for size comparisons in reviews, so I hope this helps and isn't annoying. Got these on sale in white, and overall pretty pleased. I used to border on a XS/S at jcrew but more recently XXS/XS. I have the 2009 toothpick cord in a 25 and it fits great and the 2013 toothpick cord in a 24 and it fits like the 25. Both fit the same. I also have 2 pairs of the toothpick jean in a 24, and the lighter wash's waistband is lose, but the darker wash's waistband remains tight. Who knows anymore. Ordered these in a 24. I really like the fabric; it's nicer than denim but it's not thick like the fabric of a chino short. The fabric is sleeker than chino cotton; I could probably get away with these at work on Fridays. Three stars because they do not "sit on the hips." On me, the waistband is high and sits over the top of my hip bones and feels very tight compared to other 24s I have from jcrew.

My only regret is that I only bought one pair of these pants before they ran out in my size (28). I hope J.Crew brings back the sateen toothpicks this winter. They have a soft suede finish, are exponentially more comfortable than jeans, and are perfect for the office. I would've given a five star rating, but the new toothpick style is big in the crotch area giving the appearance of what I call "diaper space"*. *This may be an added bonus for some, in which case a five-star rating should be warranted.

I am a huge fan of these pants. In fact, I bought them in every color that I could find my size in. I have the pine, the slate, the white, and the pink. I am a 12 in most J.Crew pants and I took a 32 in these. I find the pine fits the best without much tightness of the waist (this is my problem area post baby) and the fitted leg has a slimming effect. I find that the slate grey pair seem to fit the smallest and I have only worn them once. These pants are not shiny as the "sateen" name suggests, but rather soft and almost velvet like to the touch. If you can find these in your size you should grab a pair to try as they will be great in cooler fall weather.

I now own this pair of pants in 3 different colors. They hold up well when washed and are very comfortable to wear. I am petite so the toothpick pants are the right length without having to hem them. This is a fun casual piece that can easily be worn with a cute light sweater or with a blazer and booties. I ordered these in a size 27.

First ordered these pants in grey in size 25, really liked the quality and the fit. Then decided to order them in navy in the same size 25 and guess what ---- the navy ones are much narrower in the legs!!! They are tighter not only in the thighs , but also in under the knees!!! Can not wear them at the moment unless I loose some weight. I remember having the same issue with SKINNY UTILITY CHINO item 02297. The green ones in size 00 are tighter than the vinous ones in size 00. This is ridiculous, JCREW!!! I have never had this issue with less expensive brands! Don't think I am going to buy anything else from the website without having it tried in in the store.
