Collection midi skirt in ikat

What a stunning skirt! Can be worn year round and looks amazing. So flattering. Has pockets and a bit of a sheen to it. Dress up with nude heals & a crisp denim shirt for a summer party or put on a snug turtleneck with booties...LOVE IT!

I fell in love with the pattern and look of the skirt, the moment I saw it. I wear size 6 in JCrew skirts. So after reading other reviews, I went with size 8. The fit of the skirt is really odd. My lower body is not big, but I have a muscular body type. The skirt fits perfectly at the waist, but my hip and bottom barely fits. Since I bought it at final sale, I guess I will just stare at it. It looks pretty :(

I was drooling over this skirt for months and snagged it on its first day of sale before it hit final sale. Thank goodness! I'm a 14T in jcrew suiting dresses, but in skirts its a 14 or 16. Here I ordered the 14 but definitely needed the 16. As others noted its a tiny small in the waist and then more room in the hips - but I also found it slightly narrow in the thighs compared to the tall No. 2 pencil dress or even some of the lace pencil skirts I've got. It definitely doesn't fit but I'm not willing to order a size up on final sale. The material is soft and pretty, but even though it came really well packed - I can see that its got a major wrinkle on the fold. That tells me a couple of hours of sitting in the office and it would look cheap and wrinkled. I love the pockets and length, but this is going back.

Quality fabric silk/cotton. Like the pocket detail - which btw do lay flat. I took my usual size 6 which fits perfect. The waist is somewhat higher and fits snug but at the same time this is what flatters. The Ikat print is nice and offers multiple options for tops. I will say that if you have somewhat of a belly and are opposed to wearing a spanx type under garment, you may not like the fit in the stomach area.

This is a fabulous design upon a uniquely wonderful silk. The pattern definition is superb. The fabric, however, has absolutely no give to it, so make sure your sizing is correct. The waistband is also somewhat unyielding and rather high waisted for Crew. However, at the end of the day, it is a classy piece whether with a black silk shirt, a red tee shirt, or with a denim jacket!

I love the pattern in this skirt, it's designed a little different. The pin tucks give you a bit more room in the hip area which is why it's slightly larger on me, it's also a bit longer than the average JCrew pencil. I am exchanging it for a smaller size and will have it hemmed it's that pretty. The wide waist band gives the illusion of a very small waistline, so it makes my 25inch waist look about 22, really cool as I am already petite. Hopefully there's sheath dress coming soon in this beautiful pattern, hint, hint. I highly recommend.
