Many customers really love the bright, playful print and versatile cotton fabric that makes this skirt a go-to for both casual and dressy occasions. The fabric is well made, comfortable, and comes with handy pockets, while the vibrant colors often exceed what’s shown online. A few customers have suggested considering a size up or trying a different style to perfect the waist fit and achieve the desired flattering look. Overall, it’s a fun, summer staple that brings a fresh, lively twist to any wardrobe.

Wear it, You'll Love it
June 24, 2014This is a super comfy cotton skirt that is so easy to wear. Huge pockets, light, and not sheer. I am 5'8" with a 28" waist and the size 4 fits me tts. There is no give at the waist, and I would say 28" is the max waist size on size 4. It is a great knee/below knee length. Love it for summer events. Easy to dress up and down. Pair mine with a tee and the navy espadrilles. There is a lot of pleating and it does puff out - it will not give you a slender figure, but a great 50's look.

Beautiful Patio Skirt
June 24, 2014So I have to start off with a disclaimer that I pretty much loved everything that was made in this print and color way, so my review is slightly biased. Regardless, I thought this was a beautiful skirt on. I am normally a 6/8 in J. Crew skirts (29" waist) and went with an 8 in this because I knew I would want to tuck things in to it. I am also fairly tall (5'10"), so this skirt is a tall girl's dream because it hits me almost perfectly at the knee, which is hard to find nowadays, especially in an a-line skirt. Overall a great piece with very vibrant colors that I would highly recommend to others.

Lovely, light, retro
June 20, 2014Amazing print. The color is very intense; the picture online reads as teal, but the background color is closer to lime green. I love fit & flare skirts and need them to be knee length to be work appropriate. Tired of having a dozen a-line skirts in solid colors/pleated silhouettes, this little number is such a breath of fresh air. It will definitely be a summer staple. Only problem is that when I walk in it it has a tendency to sort of bunch up on itself in the front and rides up my thighs, which is super annoying; I have to pull it down literally with every other step. Still, it's so darn cute that I don't really care that much. Please J. Crew, make more of these in other prints! I would buy them all. There is a serious dearth of fashionable a-line skirts on the market.

Beautiful Print, Too Voluminous For Petites
June 19, 2014I love the print and design of this skirt. I am very partial to high-waisted skirts with a longer length, a very vintage shape. I ordered the 00, which is 1-2" too large in the waist to sit properly on me, but I like the long length on my 5'3" frame. I absolutely love the pockets. The tailoring looks great, and the side closure is sturdy and well constructed. I decided to return this because the stiffer cotton fabric poufed out too much and dwarfed my petite and slender body. I would prefer this skirt come in a softer fabric that drapes better, and come lined. I don't think the petite size 00 would fit me any better since my issue is not due to the length. This skirt would be great on women with a less boyish, petite figure.

Perfect fit
June 18, 2014I love this skirt and wish J. Crew would make it a staple in some great solid colors! I love the fit, is just the right amount of flattering flare and the perfect length right to the knee. The fabric is a great summer cotton and I would seriously buy this in every color if there were some solid colored prints.

This skirt is my new boyfriend.
June 13, 2014Jenna Lyons, take note. This breezy, classy, machine-washable, WINNER of a piece is begging for Jackie-level ubiquity. It's astonishingly versatile. It tames my thigh thunder. It lets the breeze in. It's satisfyingly well-made (hello, good zipper construction). I'm wearing it at my waist with a polka-dot crop top. I'm sizing up and slinging it lower with a white v-neck and a vest. I'm considering buying more to dye other colors. Join the cry, gals: More prints (and solids), pretty please! More fabrics for fall! Patios for one, patios for all!
