Great skirt that ripped quickly
September 5, 2017I absolutely love the design of this skirt. Sadly, it ripped along the seam after just a couple months of use. Quality needs improvement.

Perfect weight material skirt
August 19, 2017I am pretty small and have a hard time finding a pencil skirt to fit me. I have this skirt in two colors and it is perfect.

Sizing, an old version and previously worn
August 11, 2017Purchased one of each colour to match the campbell blazer of each colour. The last skirt I ordered, August 2017, a black super 120 pencil is labeled as a no. 2 skirt with no super 120 label. The tag in the skirt states it's a summer 2014 skirt and not a newer skirt that I expected for a 2017 purchase. It appears to be previously worn as the removable stitching that closes the back slit was missing and the inside waist band looks slightly worn. The size of the 2014 skirt is clearly about an inch larger then the 2016 version that I own around the waist (size 6). It is not the same fit as the newer skirt. Had I known jcrew could swap the super 120 with an older version that is different, this should be disclosed. I'm disappointed with this purchase. This serves as as warning that online shopping has its caveats. My "2014" skirt is at the dry cleaners and then it will be altered to fit closer to the 2016 versions I have. It was a final sale item, so cannot be returned.

Perfect Piece, Imperfect Fit
June 5, 2017I wanted this skirt to work so badly, I just can't make it fit me correctly! I am 27 waist and 38 hip and ordered a size 4, but no matter how far down I pulled the skirt it still puckered out in the waist. If I went to a size 2 then I think it would have been too tight in the hips. I think it would be perfect on a non-curvy/athletic body type. It feels so nice and lightweight on, but you should be warned that the thinness of material makes anything you tuck in bulk out. You'll have to wear a bodysuit with this if you don't want any lines.

Nice basic skirt
May 12, 2017I have not worn this yet so I cannot comment on durability, but this skirt appears to be well-constructed. The fabric in the super 120s line is all fairly lightweight now but it is tightly woven and smooth. I appreciate that there is no stretch in this garment. I ordered up from my normal J crew size because of the cut and although it is a bit loose I prefer that to skin tight. The waist is larger than expected and is where is is most noticeably too big for me. I was a bit shocked to find a pencil skirt that I could walk and sit in. The petite size is an acceptable length on me without tailoring (I am 5' but have longer thighs). Overall I think this is a chic and well-made basic that I hope lasts for many years.

Perfect skirt
May 2, 2017This is the perfect skirt to wear with the matching super 120 blazer for business. It fits beautifully, is fully lined, the fabric and color are great.
