Cotton Jackie shell

I love crew-neck tank tops, but they are hard to come by. This is exactly what I was looking for. The neck line, armhole, length and the shape are all perfect. Not too dressy or too casual, and of good quality.

Used to love these shells but the latest version feels like it’s made of plastic compared to prior versions of this product. Has a rough touch.

You can wear this so many ways. They are beautiful, easy to wash, and always look classic

I have several of the cotton Jackie shells and wear them frequently in the summer for work with pants, or on days when I want to dress up a pair of shorts (Jackie shell + longer shorts + dressy sandals = a great dinner outfit). They're also great for traveling as they take up little room in a suitcase. I usually wear an 8 tall in J. Crew shirts and a M works well for me in this. They do get washed in cold water and hung rather than machine dried as I don't want shrinkage. Hope to see these come out again in MORE colors next summer!

This is the kind of great looking classic piece that I want from J.Crew. Nicely constructed without tank-top cut-ins around the arms. The fabric is a bit thin, and the shell and cardigan would benefit from a heavier cotton — but all-in-all, I love it. They sold out too quickly! Bring them back!

I am 34A and bought the pretty aqua color and the black in my usual size small, and I found that this shell was too fitted and looked too tight (but it didn't feel uncomfortable). I bought the Jackie shell in navy a few years ago, and it was softer and not tight. The fabric is still OK, though, and has stretch. I considered exchanging for a medium, but I didn't want the armholes to be bigger than they already are. The armholes on the black were noticeably too big and those on the aqua were a little big.
