Additionally, merino wool is naturally moisture-wicking, helping to keep you dry and comfortable throughout the day.

Is merino wool suitable for sensitive skin?

  • Yes, merino wool is often recommended for sensitive skin due to its fine fibers, which are softer and less irritating than traditional wool. Its natural properties also help reduce odor, making it a great choice for those who may be sensitive to synthetic materials or harsh fabrics.

How should I style merino wool knitwear?

  • Merino wool knitwear can be styled in various ways, depending on the occasion. For a casual look, pair a cozy sweater with jeans and ankle boots. For a more polished outfit, layer a turtleneck under a blazer or wear a sweater-dress with knee-high boots and accessories for a chic ensemble.

Can merino wool be worn in warmer weather?

  • Yes, merino wool is versatile enough to be worn in warmer weather due to its breathable and moisture-wicking properties. Lightweight merino knitwear can help regulate body temperature, keeping you cool and comfortable even in milder conditions. Look for lighter styles to maximize comfort during warmer months.

How do I care for merino wool knitwear?

  • Merino wool knitwear is generally easy to care for; many pieces can be hand washed or machine washed on a gentle cycle with cold water. It's important to lay them flat to dry to maintain their shape and avoid shrinking. Always check the care label for specific instructions to ensure longevity.

What makes merino wool different from regular wool?

  • Merino wool comes from Merino sheep and is finer and softer than regular wool, making it more comfortable to wear against the skin. It also has superior moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating properties, allowing for better performance in various weather conditions. This combination of qualities makes merino wool a premium choice for knitwear.
