I have been searching for the right J. Crew Barn Jacket for a long time. The fact that this one is wool in an amazing red color made me know it was meant to be. The red is definitely a standout eye-catcher…numerous compliments. Perfect for fall, the holidays, and winter…get there!

Purchased both colors, love them both. The wool adds a unique, fun, cozy texture that sets it apart from other barn jackets. This is not a heavy wool jacket neither - they managed to keep the wool thin and flexible, so perfect for cool Spring, brisk Fall, or layering on light Winter days. Has quickly become one of my favorite jackets, overall very worth it.

This coat was slightly large (I ordered a medium, which is my usual size), with oddly broad shoulders. The material was thinner than expected.

Looked at coat for months and decided I truly needed it. Perfected weight in red wool with brown corduroy collar.

Really like this coat. Good fit and great color. It’s warm and comfy. Interestingly, several passer bys have commented on how they liked the coat! Happy with the purchase!
