This is a quality turtleneck, good thick cotton, nice and relaxed and yet firm around the neck, and the colours are true to the images on the site, and as compelling as they should be from opposite sides of the colour wheel. There are a lot of blue and white hooped turtlenecks, henleys, polo's, and teeshirts around now, all very much cool in the way they were when Cary Grant and others wore them in in great days of motion pictures, but I like this gold and blue hooped one better. And I don't usually talk about compliments, but this shirt draws plenty.

I wear this turtleneck over jeans in late-spring/late-summer. The material is chunky and the stripes give it a certain mid-century Côte d'Azur vibe. I can almost imagine Cary Grant pulling this off in "To Catch A Thief." Definitely not for everyone but a very cool and slightly nautical-looking piece.

Heavier weight than it appears this is a great summer staple as the warm days turn into cool nights or perfect to throw on when you’re out on the water and just need an extra layer

I am really happy with the feel and fit of the turtleneck. Perfect for casual days and cold days, specially in NYC. It fits well with anything - jeans, shorts, swim trunks… I will wear it for a long time.

I purchased this in all colors because of the fabric is thicker and the sleeves don't have the annoying tight cuffs...and they are not shrinking. wouldn't mind to see this in solids (kelly green, navy, white) and other color combos that are preppy and classic.
