484 Slim-fit stretch jean in indigo

Best fit and quality. When are you bringing these jeans back? They’ve been sold out for months.

Learnt a hard lesson via this purchase: Never assume all 484 fit jeans fit the same! I learnt it the hard way after purchasing this final sale item. Whenever I buy a pair of jeans, say any competitor’s brand, I buy it with some level of confidence that a particular fit is always going to be on point, but the same cannot be said for J.Crew jeans in general. Very disappointed because the material and construction are really good.

These jeans are longer/baggy than the usual 484, and when I sized down they were tight. I wear 31/30 without fail and the old 484 fits great now the ones with this stretch, that their trying to force onto you is unexceptable. I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing tights. J crew need to bring the none stretch denim back. FYI Jcrew is the only clothing I wear, I hate change but I might have to start looking elsewhere for my denim jeans if they don’t bring the denim option without the stretch in it.

These have the perfect fit. They run a little big but they still fit great. Yay!

I like the jeans, but wish there was more stretch. I am not convinced it's a fine line between good quality denim and yoga pants. These jeans could use between 1% - 5% more stretch (spandex?) in them. J.Crew has a long history of heavy, thick, durable denim. That said, saying something is stretch means that it needs to stretch. That said, I will keep them and am wearing them right now. Call this constructive criticism.

Overall I really like these jeans. They feel well made and are they're comfortable. I have the same 484 Slim-fit stretch jeans in black, so I was expecting a similar fit. These are much looser overall especially in the waist, which rides higher than my black pair. I was hoping they'd fit better after the first wash but no luck. Maybe consider going a waist size if you're looking at these.
