Ludlow Classic-fit suit jacket with center vent in Italian wool

Ordered this jacket because I own several Ludlow suits and love the fit. Got it, tried it, liked it, removed the tags and tacking, then noticed the “Crosby” label inside. I’m not sure what the fit difference is between the two, and I like the fit of this so much, I’m keeping it, but thought it was a little odd and misleading. Just glad I don’t feel like it needs to go back. 5⭐️ if the label was what I was expecting.

I loved this jacket. My lats and chest make it difficult to find clothes that fit well. This jacket fit me very well and would have required the smallest of alterations. The jacket color and quality were great for the price. Unfortunately, Jcrew was unable to provide a color matching pair of Ludlow pants. Three times I bought what should have been the same color pants and each time the color was clearly different (in proper lighting). My wife and tailor agree that the color is similar but not matching. I spoke with Customer Service and they tried to correct this issue, but after three tries, I've given up.

I'm somewhat suit challenged due to my size - 5'7-1/2" and 180 pounds with an athletic build. This makes it hard to find an off-the rack suit with a jacket big enough (and short enough) and pants small enough. J.Crew solves the problem by offering both the Crosby and Ludlow cuts in the same fabric and color, which allows me to buy the Crosby jacket and Ludlow pants in the best size for me. My tailor tells me this is the best suit available by far for the money. He loves the fabric and craftmanship, and that he doesn't need to perform major alterations. I agree.

Apart from my bespoke wedding suit, this is the best fitting suit I've ever owned. I can actually move. Needed a little in at the waist - that okay, because that's far better than needing to be let out further than possible. Nice style, accessories, well made and durable. Good quality cloth.

I have spent thousands of dollars on bespoke suits in the past, and this suit fits as well as any of those -- maybe better. Excellent quality. I love it!

I am 6-5, 230 lbs and the jacket fits well. The only alteration was a slight shortening of the sleeves. The wool was high quality with a little bit of stretch. My tailor was impressed as well.
