Ludlow wing tips

Waited until my wedding to shell out the cash for this shoe (it was my only excuse to spend over 300 bucks on a shoe although it was on my mind for months) After celebrating recently celebrating my 5 year anniversary it dawned on me, wow my long wings still look amazing! Definitely a life long investment. Durable, stylish, classic etc. absolutely love these!

Just received my shoes and all I have to say is these shoes unbelievable.One of the best looking I have ever purchased in my life.BUY THEM !!!!!

I go these a couple of weeks ago. Right out of the box you can see the quality of these shoes. I’ve had similar shoes in the past and I know these will hold up just as well. They’re well made with solid materials. Folks interested in these should know that there is a break-in period for this type of shoe. I’ve only been wearing them for short walks around the neighborhood until they’re comfortable. I’ve got about 10 miles in them now and they’re still a little stiff. I’m sure after 20-30 miles they’ll feel awesome. These are the type of shoes that only get better with time. On a sizing note—these seem to run on the larger side. I had to go down a full size in these compared to most of the other shoes I own.

Purchased two pair Ludlow full wing tip brogues a few months ago (October, 2017), English Tan and Cigar Brown. After having worn them for a few months I've since discovered that the tip of the soles are wearing out prematurely. To prevent having to replace the entire sole prematurely I've had to have a rubber 1/2 sole attached to the leather sole. I live in a colder climate and use rubber galoshes, most of my walking to this point has been indoors at the office, mostly carpeted. Also have a pair of Ludlow Chukka English Tan purchased around the same time and have the same issue. I've never encountered this type of wear pattern on any other shoes. This leads me to question the quality of the leather sole used in manufacturing the Ludlow shoes. Suspect softer, cheaper quality leather soles are used to cut costs. Unfortunate choice for cutting corners for your customers. The other complaint, I wish a wider (E) shoe width was available for customers.

These shoes are great looking and of very high quality. Unfortunately, medium widths are normally too narrow for me and that was the case with these shoes as well. I wanted to give them a try just in case. They are stylish and classic and I wish they came in a wide width.

I picked these up in the brown. They look great with jeans, casual button down collar shirt, and blazer. Comfortable and well made. I may pick up a backup pair.
