Lambswool sweater

Lovely and soft and just the right weight - keeps in the warmth without being too heavy. Love the colour too. A great autumn / fall staple.

I still own a Jcrew sweater I bought 5 years ago, was an excellent purchase that I've worn hundreds of times since. Sadly, as other reviews have stated, I notice that the newer versions of the sweater use much thinner, scratchier wool. I've returned mine. Very disappointed that the quality of the product has dropped so seriously.

"Superwarm," "thicker-than-normal," "textured," "heavy-gauge"—uh, no. This sweater is far thinner than I expected based on the description, and based on the thickness of an older J. Crew lambswool sweater I own. It isn't "textured," unless that means that it has a slightly heathered look. As a result, this sweater looks dressier than I expected; I wear it over button-downs, or on its own under a blazer, to work. (For reference, I'm a slim, 5'7", small-chested woman with longish arms and broad shoulders, and I often prefer men's sweaters—their sleeves are long enough and shoulders broad enough, and they have a better drape. This one fits well in an XS.)

Most of the sweaters I tried on this season were either thin and clingy or far too bulky. This is a sturdy, warm sweater that still manages to be slimming. I'm very happy with it. I've just bought a second one.

I bought this for my father for Christmas and he is extremely picky about his clothes. He loved this sweater - its got a perfect structure and weight to it. GREAT purchase JCrew!!

I have bought many mens' sweaters from J. Crew but it's been awhile. In the past I appreciated the quality of the wool and vibrancy of the colors. I bought several of these sweaters for gifts this year and was disappointed in them. Fit is fine, but the wool feels thin and skimpy, not luscious or cozy. The quality of clothing in the US just keeps deteriorating and J. Crew is no exception. Sad.
