What customers are saying:
Customers really love these classic J.Crew chino shorts for their versatile style, vibrant color options, and comfortable feel that works great for both casual outings and dressing up. A large number of customers suggested checking sizing carefully since the shorts can run larger or smaller depending on the color or style, and a few recommended sizing up or down as needed. Many appreciate the durable, heavy twill fabric and flattering cut that has made these shorts a summer staple over the years. Overall, customers continue to celebrate these shorts as an easy, go-to piece for a fun, well-rounded summer wardrobe.

Please bring these back!!!
July 6, 2017My favorite summer staple for over 10 years. I love how they come in practically every color of the rainbow! My only complaint is that they wrinkle quickly, but other than that the fit and quality is great. So disappointed to find they have been discontinued!!

Please bring them back
May 22, 2017These are so much better than the new "stretch chino" shorts you have replaced them with... please bring the old ones back!! The new ones are too thin and these are a great thickness and fit well. They are a summer staple.

Quality has gone DOWN
May 11, 2017I used to love J.Crew shorts because they were good quality, didn't wrinkle easily, and were thick enough that even the white ones weren't see-through. ALL OF THAT IS GONE NOW. The fabric is thin, see-through, and wrinkles easily. :(

Love it...but
April 28, 2017I love love these shorts. The fit is awesome. I have a pear shape and it is so hard to find shorts that fit nicely, and aren't too long or too short. The reason for the BUT in my review title is that I bought the white, everything is perfect except for the fact that you can see the pocket lining through the shorts. That's a pet peeve of mine when I purchase white bottoms. However, if they were in another colour I would feel like they would be perfect. I like the shorts so I am not going to return it, I'm also going to purchase in other colours.

If it's not broken...
April 18, 2017These and the 4" chino shorts have been my "go-to" shorts for years! Living in warm climates in both the summer and the winter I have purchased countless pairs. Why oh why oh why would you discontinue these? Horror! Please bring them back!!!!

A bit off
March 3, 2017I bought 4 pairs last season in 000 since the ones before then were always too large for my 5'2/110 lb frame. I typically wear 00 in JCrew pants and shorts. These 4 are all very tight and too short to be appropriate to wear outside. When these same shorts became available this season, I bought size 0 in honey brown. The waist for this size 0 is slight large on me and the shorts themselves flare out like A-line skirt. The length is still a bit short. Overall, they just look odd on me and now I have 5 pairs that I can't wear at all. I have to say that I am so disappointed that it has been so difficult finding short to fit and feel perfectly both at JCrew and JCrew Factory. I gave 3 stars for the quality, however. The material is thick with structure and I love that. I've had too many thin shorts that wrinkle/crease and lose shape after a few hours of wear. Only if these shorts would fit better. Sigh! My search continues......
