Rugged cotton henley sweater

I will order more when they come back in stock! Good fall staple- sad I only ordered 2.

I first bought the rugged sweaters...they are perfectly-okay style wise; the colors are a bit lackluster. The quality is definitely there; as someone who despises itchiness, I only wear a sweater as the first layer if it is cotton. I suppose that is why the lackluster color bothers me: with wool sweaters, I can plan ahead for removing it if need be, but wool garments have those idiosyncrasies that unmistakably separate it from cotton. The biggest style concern I would argue is there is hardly any sheen to to the cotton sweaters. The indigo ones get a pass. Onto the Henley-sweaters. They are what I wanted the sweaters to be. The buttons add a nice, but not overwhelming, nuance. They all just look like really, really well made henleys—not sweaters, in my opinion. These henleys are an endeavor of J.Crew’s I respect and adore...I am long since tired of the predictable stuff that comes out each season...Garments like this keep keep me hopeful for the designers to take a risk.

Honestly, I have a pretty normal bmi/body and put this on but was baggy compared to other sweaters I've bought from JCrew. Because of that, it's pretty unflattering just by itself. Ultimately, decided to keep the product because it works great for layering with a cardigan or jacket. Has some nice depth to the layer because of ruggedness.

I like brick and mortar stores, I use the internet especially when I get sales notices. I love the new top, and being quarantined due to the virus I want to shop more. But the colors are not quite true from screen to box, every one expects that. We need to support business we like! And to do that we need to shop!

Fit was good. Washed it as I normally would for cottons and dried. It shrunk one whole size!!! Crew's sale products are no where near the same quality as their regular offerings.
