Short-sleeve maxi dress in eyelet

I call this gone with wind fabulous! I bought this dress in yellow and tried to buy it again in blue because I loved it so. It’s the perfect combination of classic. It boasts the classic tailored dress with pockets and a peekaboo back. The material, draping and feel of the fabric are unmatched. If they have your size you should buy it and don’t wait!

I purchased this dress in yellow and am thrilled with the quality and style. The dress is perfect for a summer wedding. I hope J Crew continues to create lovely, feminine dresses that look a bit retro.

I'm 5'10", 160 lbs, 32B and this dress is so flattering! I ordered it in the bright pink and it is a showstopper. Fit is true to size and the open back is really pretty with the front being more modest. I love the short sleeves. I received so many complements on it the first time I wore it, I ordered it in the navy also. I don't need to wear a bra with it so those that need a bra might have a hard time with the open back.

It’s a beautiful dress, more of an evening dress- slightly formal. Wish it came in a petite as being short the dress is a maxi. But with nude heels it looked really good. Got a lot of complements. It is so pretty that it doesn’t need any accessory except for a nice pair on elegant studs in the ears. The waist is a little sixties look and the skirt takes a while to lay flat due to the slightly stiff material. It is a beautiful eyelet material of good quality which should last a long time. Hoping to enjoy it as a maxi for a while and then plan to shorten it to a shorter dress which will be worn more often and not so formal.

I ordered the pink one and the lace is really pretty. I ordered my normal size 4 even though i normally size down to a 2 in jcrew since people mentioned that it runs small in the waist. It's true that there is no give in the waist, but it fit fine, maybe has a little room. I found it to be small in the chest and I'm only a B/C cup. I love the length and the back detail. It's a true maxi for me and I can still wear flats. I'm 5'6. I need to find a bra that helps make my boobs look less smashed, but that's my only issue.

My niece bought this dress and loved it as did I. Being on sale, I bought it as well but unfortunately, it didn’t fit properly. Normally I am a 4-6 depending on the designer, but I find JCrew dresses run big. I have ordered size 4 before and paid to have them altered at the top. This time I ordered the 2 which fit through the waist and bust-line very well but the opening in the back did not lie flat and didn’t look well. I am returning it. Otherwise, it is nice quality, pretty and appropriate, as advertised, for something to wear to a spring/summer wedding. The skirt is quite full & long.
