Knit ponte blazer

This would have been a perfect jacket for the office during the summer months - it’s not a heavy weight (but def. not tshirt thin either) but it runs a lot bigger than expected! The shoulder seams go down about 2” past my shoulders and the rest of it is just oversized in an unflattering way. It might work for a casual day but definitely not for a dressy look for work. Wish I would have sized down to a Med but True Fit suggested Large. For reference, I’m normally a 10/12 for tops and Large in sweaters.

I love how light and versatile this blazer is for the warmer months. The quality is also surprisingly good for the price. Pop the collar to add another level of office chic.

Honestly, this was not my favorite JCrew purchase. Although it was soft and comfortable, it was too short in the torso and very boxy.

This is cute and just as described, like a thick, polished sweatshirt material. I saw other reviews that it runs slightly large, but I stayed with M because I really never buy size S. I found it to run huge though :( I’m really disappointed and am stuck with something I can maybe throw on if I get cold and don’t mind looking frumpy. For reference, the perfect fit T shirts and long sleeve tees fit me perfectly in M, the arm length, shoulder fit, and width. The shoulders on this blazer are too wide by at least an inch on each side, more with the arm length, and it is super wide in the torso. Cute and so worth the sale price if it fits you right, I’ll look like a kid playing dress up if I try to use this as an office blazer. I wish I could exchange for a S.

I sometimes struggle with blazers because I am larger in the bust area (size C/D). This blazer is incredibly cozy, fits well, and I love that it has a button. Easy to throw on for running errands around the city and it will be really helpful to have something warm, cozy, and also polished when I am back in the office. Full disclosure, this ran a bit big (I didn't find it boxy - but maybe could have ordered size Small) and it's a bit long on me (I am 5'3). If they had had this in a Petite I would have ordered in multiple colors - debating tailoring. Appreciate that this is nice, thick cotton and not some poly-blend. Conclusion: Comfy, semi-polished blazer that works great with a tank or t-shirt underneath. Could totally see wearing this on the plane for a business trip.

I typically like boxy tops and dresses, but this is so boxy and wide that it is unflattering. I have tried it over button downs, blouses, and tees, and it hasn't looked good over anything. It makes me look several sizes larger than I am. I am losing weight and probably come in near the top of the charts for a medium, and I bought a medium. Perhaps a small would have worked better. I got a great price with sale on sale, but I would still return it if it wasn't final sale.
